The start to a dark academia morning

What if your morning felt like the opening chapter of a gothic novel? Quiet in a way that feels chosen rather than accidental.

I wake without an alarm. The first thing I do is brew a cup of tea, Irish Breakfast usually. Sometimes coffee, if the morning calls for it. I don't look at my phone. Not yet. The first 30 minutes of the day belongs to me.

There's a philosophy behind this. I have found the first 30 minutes sets the frequency for everything that follows. If you hand it to an algorithm, you've already lost. But if you protect it, you carry that into the rest of your day.

It doesn't require a perfect desk or a perfect life, and there is rarely a perfect morning. It requires one decision, made the night before: tomorrow morning, the first part is mine.

Your morning should feel like yours. Make it feel like the opening chapter of something worth reading.
